took a 99+ stang GT vert from a roll

me and the stang were both makin a u turn is adjacent lanes and i just gave him a little nod to see if he wanted to go, i knew he wanted to race cause he was around my age, and u just cant backdown. well we are approaching the red light on a 4 lane rd (m5 south) and the light went green before we got to it, i was in SS and we both just floored it, i got into vtec in a split second and i was easily gettin away from the stang, i could so tell this kid was expecting to blow me away in his v8, you should of seen the look on his face as i flew past him , i shut it down at 100 and he was about 2-3 cars back

i know a auto vert is the slowest type of stang but a v8 kill is a v8 kill

hey...

didn't realize you were in Michigan. I'll get a GT Coupe that I'll run against you in Milan in April... we'll get it on video. What you think?

That way you can show how your powerful CL eats those "Rustangs" up for lunch.

Um, cuz I got snow tires on? And maybe that's why you always win, eh? Cuz you're not at the track, and the other guy didn't know that you were racing? LOL

Car is mostly stock... have Magnaflow exhaust + Eibach Pro kit. Springs will probably hurt my 60 foot times, exhaust is good for nothing but noise. (*maybe* 3-4 rwhp)

Dearborn, MI.

'02 GT 5speed... I'm not racing until the track is open. I have SNOW tires on. Do they teach English in high school anymore? It's 16 degrees outside right now... it's not even safe to race on the streets. Especially with all the pot holes in our crappy state.

I've only raced once at the track since my mods. I ran an embarrassing 13.8 @ 108mph
I still have my stock 16x7" rims and bald 225/55/16 tires. Plus I have the stock highway gears(2:73s) which are NOT good at all for the track. I still spin through 3rd.

I'm strapped for cash lately but with traction and lower gears, I will see mid to low 12s or break something trying...

If it's not raining, I am going tomorrow and will post my numbers here so you guys can make fun of me I have no new mods, but I am going to try a couple different launching techniques.

I got a DV cam. I'd tape it. But i have to agree with stunna about the roads - even if he is being a dick (and 'stang owners wonder why we don't like them? Sheesh...).

This should be a good race. The 'stang has about 400-500lbs on you, but you have headers. Course, the MT might give him a little bit of an edge.

yes they do teach me english, so dont get smart w/ me aight. theres a good place to race at by my house once u get your snow tires off, pm me for my contact info if your MAN enuff to go against a v-6. btw this place is very open and its not even a main street so we wont get caught or hurt nobody, i race there all the time. bring one of your friends to tape it.

Don't worry man...

snow tires will come off right around the same time track opens. Besides, wouldn't you rather do it at the track? So you can see that you beat my car by a full second or whatever? Then you can have the time slip AND the video... instead of some punk race on the street, where theres no tree, either party could jump early, there's always fear of cops, other drivers, etc. etc....

umm yeah...the stang MAY have a slight chance of winning. You know with its 70 lb-ft torque advantage, rwd, less weight,MT etc etc. But I'm sure headers more than make up for these deficits
