TL-S with a standard subwoofer??

I was going through the pictures I took at the LA Auto Show, and I came across this thing about the TLS I didn't notice:

Do you see what I see? A Bose subwoofer in the middle??

By the way, that single TL woofer... doesnt give as much bass as our double woofers in the back.

Wow, I didn't even notice the sub! Either on the old TL's or the new TL-S! Hopefully they made it sound a little better if in fact the old one's weren't all that great.

Its a 9" Bose... It doesn't sound terrible, there's just not enough of it.

(Which is why I have 10"s instead )

True... the wooder itself sounds decent. No worse/better then ours.

But the stereo overall sounds like crap compared to the one in the CL.

All the sound is muddy... and all the speakers are on the floor. And the damn volume/bass doesnt go high enough.

The digital bass control on the CL headunit was a welcome addition going from a TL to CL.

I dont think either of them are sub-woofers.

They are woofers, there is a difference no?

The TL one may be a subwoofer... it would make sense... but it still sounds like shit.

The reason we have a different setup from the TL is that the TL also has speakers in the back doors. But it doesnt have tweeters.

We got tweeters... but since we have no speakers in back doors... we get two big speakers up in the parcel shelf.

I think the 2002 TL, and TL-S have the same front speakers as the CL. They have the Tweeters in the window corner. This will really make the system sound much better.
They also put the 6 Disc changer in the 02 TL, and TL-S.

If you dont like the sound of your stock system, have the rear speakers installed in the rear deck. There should be room for them on either side of the Bose sub.
