Tire/wheel size question

I'm looking to upgrade to an 18" combo. Tirerack suggests 18x7.5 or 18x8 ET45 with 225/45 18's. Suspension is bone stock as of now and this is my DD. I will probably put coilovers on it in the future. Is this an ideal setup or is there a better option? Thanks guys!

Ended up going with the O.Z.'s with Pirelli Nero Zero GT 235/40 ZR18's after doing some more searching

I like that tire size better than 225. In for pics.

I tried to upload a pic from photobucket but I keep getting an error message

Got it... sorry not a great pic. I have Koni yellow struts and H&R springs on order. Also ordered XS headers, XLR8 high flow cat, Trubendz midpipe, and Magnaflow mufflers. 240k miles with original struts and exhaust... definitely time!

those will look even better with a drop! You'll probably have to roll the rear fenders for those. I have the same specs but +35 offset and I still rub with rolled fenders and shaved tabs.

I hear you on the struts. Mine are original I'm pretty sure. Low mileage but still.

Yea the offset is the only thing I'm not completely happy with. They stick out just a hair further than I want but I can live with it... Do you think the H&R's will drop it that low? I'm going with the 51858-55's. After reading several posts they seemed to be a nice compromise and I have to drive this ever day so I'm not into slamming it.

It'll be a great drop. Just enough to get rid of the wheel gap. When you drop it you'll naturally gain camber so they will tuck in a bit.
