Tire tread depth
My service report says that my L/F and R/F tire depth is 4/32 and rear tires are at 6/32. So in layman's terms, how long more before I have to change tires?
I know this is going to depend a lot on my driving style, road conditions etc, but a ballpark figure assuming a "moderate" driving style (no peeling out, hard braking, severe oversteering etc) would be really appreciated so I can plan when to fork out money for new tires.
I'm still on the stock tires that came with the car, and have 35k miles to give you a rough idea of my usage pattern.
Sorry if this is a repeat post but I couldn't find anything close in search...
Thanks guys!

have you ever rotated your tires?
to put it in perspective, 2/32 is considered illegal for the road. 10/32 is brand new.
the fronts are almost shot, but the rears have some life.
id rotate and get new tires before winter if you want to get full use out of your current tires. you can always look at the wear bars to see how they are holding up

Supposedly, a tire is still legal if you place a penny between the treads and the tread depth is the distance between the top of Lincoln's head and the egde of the penny. That's a rough indicator anybody could use.

much easier there are wear bars that indicated time to buy new tires... looking between the treads you will a tread wear bars...if they surface time to buy new tires.
