Tire question spec. Toyo Proxes 4's

I'm about to replace all my tires. I'm currently on my 2nd set of Yoko Paradas. I've liked these tires, they have pretty good traction but the wear is fast.

I'm looking at the Proxes 4's. I don't really need an all season tire since it rarely even rains out here but I figure it's a tire that will last a long time, and the reviews i've read say that the grip is on par w/ the T1-S.

What do you guys think? Will they last a long time? The treadwear for the parada and the proxes are both 300.

The proxes are rated as a W, so what's the top speed on those?

I have about 2000 miles on Kumho 711's. So far they are good but I haven't tried them in the rain.

stay away from the fz4's, they are being discontinued

i'd expect the proxes 4's to last around 20-35k depending on how you drive
i had a small review on them if ya do a search, i had the tires on for only 5 days before i crashed my car so i havent had em that long to give a full review

i highly doubt they are as gripy as the T1S. Rubber compound alone will put the 4's below the ts1s.

Not as grippy, but they say nearly as close. I forgot where I read the article. I think it was in Automobile.

i just bought a set of 235/35/19's and they are great, but somewhat noisy... i dont know what size you are looking at getting... and maybe the 19's are more noisy than 17's would be...

Nope, Im probably gonna get these and the worst driving conditions I drive in are some wet roads. They are less expensive and should last longer than T1S. I probably wont' push them to there limits on the street anyway.

TPT's are not even in the same class, they are designed as an OEM replacement touring tire instead of a perfomance tire

I’ve had my Proxes-4’s on for about 3-weeks now.
Full review is coming, but I haven’t written it yet.

Briefly, these are definitely a bit louder then my Falken Azenis tires they replaced, but not annoyingly so.
Grip seems the same in the corners, but I can’t compare them to the TS1 because I didn’t have those.
I my be alone in this feeling, but I don’t like extremely “sticky” tires on this car.
I couldn’t aggressively launch with my Falkens worth a DAMN.
These tires are great. An aggressive launch gives just a bit of wheelspin and then they hook right up.
With my Falkens the front end would hop like crazy and I’d have to throttle back the gas.

Rain performance is much better. It seems more then 50% of my time has been in the rain.
I’ve been progressively pushing them harder and no trouble yet.

Full review coming…….I promise.

I got them at a killer price. My buddies shop is hooking me up for 487.02 including tax. + 40 for mounting and balancing.
