Tire Question

Hey guys...
I have a problem.
My front left wheel got a big ass bubble in it from a pot-hole in Jersey City.. thank god i am moving to south jersey soon.
Anyway, as per replacing the wheel, do i have to replace it with the same exact kind? or can i use a similar performance wheel to substitute?

If you are just replacing one you need to put the exact same tire (brand and size) that you took off.

That sucks... most dealers in the Area have quoted me $250 just for the tire and then installation and balancing on top of that.
It pissed me off that dealers try to screw people over with little things like this.

Replacing two tires doesn't have anything to do with dealers. It has to do with tires being so important to a cars handleing, safety, etc..

No, what i was talking about has everything to do with the dealers. The reason being that i can order the same wheel online from www.tirerack.com and get it for $170, +SH of $12.95.
They are the first people that we come to as car owners and they should be way better than this since most people are not as car intelligent as most of us on this board.

I am going to check a few places near my house and see if i can get a deal better than $190. Oh well...

You should use the same exact ones imo. It'll look funny with 2 different tires. lol!
