Tinte windows actually protect ur car and prevent injuries in a Accident??

Hey. As I was gettiing my accord tinted 2day, I was going through the Llumar brochere and it stated the benefits of tinting windows. One of these benefits it said was that it minimized glass damage in an accident. Is this tru? The brochere didn't say how, but I'm thinking that since LLumar is a metallic tint, it might somehow bond 2 it like a magent and form a polymer like bond w/ the glass. And no this is not an April Fool's post, i'm dead serious, do tints help in an accident?

tint is like tape. if your glass breaks, depending on how it breaks, it won't go all over the place.

Auto glass is safety glass. It already has a film layer inside so that it breaks into little dull rocks instead of shards. I guess tint might help a little, but 99% of it is already in the glass.

theives like it too.they use a center punch and just peel the glass out. the tint held the glass together. my friend found his driver window on his front lawn and no system in his car.
