Time to Join the CL accident club

Well today was my unlucky day.....my baby has been the victim of a rear end collision.......

driving down University ave here in town and a bunch of idiots decide to run accross University from a side street causing everyone to panic brake...lawl chaos ensued..........

I managed to stop without tagging the guy in front of me so that was a BIG plus.......I see the guy coming up really fast am I am hoping that the guy in front of me starts moving....thankfully he did so I started moving the car forward......

Guy behind me in a nissan was not so lucky......he tagged me and messed up the paint job on the driver's side of my rear bumper......3 vertical lines accross the left side and a crack near the plate endentation.......since I was moving the car immediately went to the right since he hit me on the left (still on said ice) I corrected while braking and the VSA lined the car up so it came back to the left and I didn't tag the guy next to me....

For those of you whom think you can out brake and out do the VSA....not a chance..........that stuff works as intended and is litterally a life saver....not to mention a car saver.....

Is it as bad as mine....

Only kidding, it sounds like its only minor and at least you should be getting a nice rear paint job out of it.

To many young bucks buying these cars thAT have too much power for them in FWD format, untill I learned how FWD functions under certain conditions I had my share of "mishaps"

had I not let me foot off of the brake and started moving I would have been looking at significantly more damage to the car as I managed to move about 30 feet before impact

That sucks man!

University Ave...Palo Alto?

I don't think I can out brake VSA but it almost got me into an accident on a spirited drive through some mountain roads.

September 24, 2008 is when it happened. That's what happens when a semi truck thinks you are going to switch lanes and decides just to rear end you.

That's why being an aware driver pays off. Even if someone gets in a lot of accidents and they aren't at fault many of them can be avoided by being an observant driver. Some are unavoidable no matter what, but I think by you being aware of the situation this turned out the best it possibly could and minimized damage.

Same thing happened with mine as in we were both rolling the same direction, but when a semi truck rear ends you, no matter the speed it's going to cause havoc and carnage.

Car will be fixed Feb 5-7 2009, rear bumper is cracked and I am having a paint chip repaired for the second time. Abra did it the first time and did not stand behind their work....Luther collision is going to do it
