Thoughts on the wet AEM filters>

Looking at a xephyr cold air you will notice an extra bend where the water has a chance to drip off of before hitting the filter. On the AEM it goes straight to the filter. Perhaps AEM feels the extra bend robs power? Not sure if a filter getting wet every wash is good either. Anyone have any opinions on this as I was going to switch to AEM after the xephyr fiasco but after noticing this I'm not sure what to do.

Strange you should mention this. I was thinking about putting a ring of rubber around the AEM pipe near the bottom with a small rubber flap hanging down from it to become the new "LOW" point. As such, I would expect the water running down the pipe to drip from the new low point in lieu of heading straight to the filter.

I'm going to see the AEM people in the next few weeks, and may have a chance to talk to them about this (I'll see).

My opinion -- making a low "drip" point for the pipe would be the best solution to make sure any water from the rain and car washes fell off before reaching the filter.

Something AEM may need to look into.
