For those with color matched grilles

did you paint it yourself or have someone do it for you? im talking about the black part of the grille painted to match the color not the outer ring that comes color matched from the factory on the 03. i was thinking whether i should do it myself or have a body shop do it. what do you people think?

I initially did it myself with spraypaint and it matched fairly well. When my car got repainted after a hailstorm I got the whole thing painted to match the car and it looks nice. Even the inside chrome piece is black (unlike the 03 where it is still silver). The Acura symbol is still chrome though.

It looks so much meaner and better than stock. Makes the car look much better overall.

Post a pic or a link! I am curious to see how it looks! I dont think it will look good on red I'm sure the black looks mean! kinda stealth!

Let me know if you find a place to do it down here for cheap. I was thinking of painting the grill, the lower part of the front end between the road lamps, and the black pieces on the mirrors to match the rest of the car. And of course black calipers too.

I was thinking

I am going to get mine painted the same color as the car when I decide to get my spoiler and mud flaps painted, but I must say that the OUTTER chrome piece looks better than the painted one, that is why I opted to change it...

P.S. the gutter guard will come out when I paint the grill... if you look at my pics..

i was thinking more along the lines of painting the chrome-colored parts of the grill and keeping the gray-ish part alone...

anyone do this already?

sorta like the stock 03 look but painting the center chrome line as well
