thinking about experimenting with mid length headers...

so i have this freind thats a fabricator for orange grove arrigation and they use stainless steel pipes and mandrel bending and tig welding...so i mentioned about working on some long tubes...but...im thinking i might experiment with mid length headers first...i was thinking at first either modify my comps or by a set of OBX and modify them...but then i was thinking why not use my factory "down pipe" and cut it sow that the flanges are near the flex section...then cut the flang of the part that bolts up to the heads and just weld in some 1 1/4 stailes tubes following the paths that the comptechs would have taken...what do you guys think/

No complaints about anything that could help peformance. good luck.
How much in gains do you think you would be able to pull out over the standard comptech headers?

Edit: Btw, how's the RSX lip spoiler replica goin'?

I don't see how it would be worth the time or the trouble IMO. Just get an exhaust cut out to replace the cat. Basically making it a "race header"

from what i recall there wasn't that much power picked up with the equal length. You might want to take a look at getting stepped pipes to increase the speed of flow if these pipes are for daily use.

I believe they could be produced on a made-to-order basis but expect to pay out the ass for them.

They significance increase over the Comptech headers came in the midrange. The peak numbers were similar.
