on that note, I wonder what cars come with BBK kits or BIG enuff calipers that we could just rip em out and install on our cars ??

Brakes are all the same universal & wrk on the same principle the only culprit will be getting the bolt pattern and size.

But off course its NO BBK.
Cool, how much shorter were the 60 to 0 and 80 to 0 braking distances? Also were or could the number of braking bouts be recorded before brake fade became evident? Would also be nice if anyone could do this and compare to stock caliper performance w/same type pads. I believe ya, but want to see if it is a significant improvement.

ill tell ya, it would be good enough for me to have the same stopping power and just fix the rotor warping issues with our calipers

Contact with the rotor isn't increased by going to the Legend caliper as you still use the same pads so they won't solve the warping problem.

just because pad surface area doesn't increase and avaliable pressure doesn't increase doesn't mean there's not a benefit. you have to remember you're spreading the surface load over a slightly larger area (two pistons not one). in heavier cars like ours you may not notice as much but i'd love to see a repeated brake test. the legend calipers iirc have different sized pistons on the leading and trailing edge and i believe the NSX calipers have the same size pistons. the NSX ones are also ribbed for her pleasure and can dissapate heat a little bit better than the ol legend calipers. A good upgrade? sure. no where close to a bbk but also WAY less cost involved.

Funny how the feelings about the calipers changes with each thread. I had posted one a little while back and the general consensus at the end was that there is little to no real benefit to the Legend caliper. Now suddenly people are arguing otherwise.

I had considered this upgrade but I haven't seen any data as to how much shorter, if at all, the car will stop.

like i said most of what i know is based on 5th gen accords, but they were 1 large piston, going to two and there was a difference according to the auto-x nazi's on accordinglydone. but i don't know how that will translate to our cars.
