Is there a high demand for Legend calipers?
This is not a for sale thread. If there is a demand for them I will start a thread in the BM. I have access to some legend calipers and will be willing to ship them if people want them. I'm not sure on the prices yet, but they won't be too expensive. Just putting a word out.

I'm saving up for a BBK but I think some folks would be interested.
They are a cheaper alternative to a BBK and will increase the stopping power over the stock caliper.

I don't know where to get SS brake lines. The calipers would be used BTW, but I will inspect them and clean them up. My mom is having surgery tomorrow and I have to work until Friday. I will let you all know about prices once I see some more interest.

I just did this conversion two weeks ago. I ordered the calipers from the local friendly auto parts store and they could only locate ONE pair available....in California! I live in Maryland. They were made by rebuilder company called A-1. Coming out of the box they looked brand new. Put them on, bled the fronts, good to go. Waiting for my SS brake lines to come now.

Dam, the Raybestos must have went fast. I guess the only less expensive alternative would be the LEFT/RIGHT Beck/Arnley calipers (#0771085S;0771086S) for $68.99 each with the $21.15 core charge. http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...e=5003&PTSet=AThe picture displays that these are duel piston and appear to have the mounting bracket as well. The reason to get them with the mounting bracket is so that you could swap out all of the new rubber slide boots and the slides themselves to your CL/TL mounting brackets. If this is the route you consider, just make sure to install the new 'Right' caliper on the left side and visa versa so that the bleed screws are at the top of the caliper for easy access. These should work; however, I have not read of anyone trying this option due to the unavailability of the Raybestos calipers.

I have one set taken. I will start a thread in the BM if more are available. As for now I don't know a exact price because of shipping. I will try to find all of this out and keep everyone updated.
Not really. You can buy Legend calipers for about $80 each from several local/national stores around here. Some even without core charge. It's been discussed a lot and it's nothing but a cosmetic mod with no actual braking benefit.
The NSX caliper is just as cosmetic as the Legend. In fact it's pots are slightly smaller then the Legend caliper.
So, immediately after the rotors and pads were changed, you still had shaking? Could be a frozen caliper.
Not Really. These calipers are an excellent low cost alternative for those individuals who find themselves in need of new calipers. There are plenty of people over on the 2nd Gen. TL side who have replaced their old high mileage (100K+) single piston calipers with these and report back with improved stopping power. Are they comparable to a BBK?, hell no. Are they an inexpensive upgrade to the single piston OEM's that came from the factory, absolutely.
If one wants to blow the wad$$ on a BBK, then by all means do it, and be happy. If one is open to experiment and needs new remanufactured duel piston calipers, then these are certainly a viable option and more then just 'cosmetic'

I'm still interested in a set of legend calipers. Have you come up with a price yet? You can email me at troublouss@yahoo.com

so how big of a difference is between a BBK and the legend calipers? .
(not asking if there's difference, but how much)
If there's isnt much. i'm IN on this deal.

big enough, legend calipers are a good upgrade for the CL calipers... But i dont think they are comparable to a BBK.

But off course its NO BBK.

Warped rotors are common on our cars. Replace them and you'll have no more steering wheel vibrations.
