You guys plan on doing anthing else to your rides? JSuppi, where you getting your mods done at? It's hard to find a reliable, trustworthy shop in Houston, to deal with cars like ours. I'm looking into Some kind of body kit, super charger or turbo, definitly some rims later. BTW what kind of System did you get, and how much did this set you back?

The system set me back way too much More than I reeally want to disclose (but more than I should have) but damn it sounds good ). As for the mods I had mine done at Hocus Oocus (that is before I found out that i'd have to take it back three billion more times to get stuf corrected that should have been fixed to begin with). My suggestion is the following:

1) Do the mods yourself, if you've got the equipment it's the way to go (or if you have friends with the equipment).

2) Take it to a dealer that has a good reputation, I know they'll charge quite a bit more but you know the stuff will be done right and they won't have a problem fixing it if it's not to your liking (I give Acura SW's Service dept 4 out of 5 stars). Think to yourself how much time it's really worth.

There might be some good shops in Houston, but I haven't run across one that I really like yet.

As for other stuff (car stereo anyone??) mods let me know and I've got a good place that i'd recommend 120%.

I live in Frisco, TX...and work in Las Colinas.

Bought in Nov 00

Paid $29,000, no-nav for my RED CL Type-S

Added a spoiler, tint, wind-deflector...and 10'' MTX Thunder 6000 and MTX Thunder 500D amp (which really rounds out the stock stereo).

Kool,

Looks like H-town in the lead with the count @ 5 so far, Austin next.

Lets keep the up the roll call it's a big state keep it up.

Big-V,

You got cleared out the lights did you also get rid of the Yellow marker too, or did you just change the light bulbs.

Anyone ever see or is that person that drives in the golden type-S I see you constantly speeding away around the loop around the galleria, never going the same way or I would race you, just never going the same way damnit.

Thanks for the shop info, just as I figured hard to find a shop that will do a good job.

Quick question, I'm still going to buy a CL:S but I'm not sure which dealership I should buy from. I've been dealing with Gillman Acura just because they're close to where I live. But for some reason the salesmen seem slimy. I've only seen two Acura dealerships Gillman and Charlie Thomas but that's way too far. By the way I live in Houston.

Acura Southwest? Is that on US-59? That's about the same distance as Charlie Thomas. I guess I'll have to travel a little to get a reputable dealer. I guess I'd have to figure this out eventually.

Just name the time and place. I'm in.

I purchased my CL-S at John Eagle Acura located at I-10 & Hwy.6. I would not recommend them to anyone. They are great when you are buying the car. Then they treat you like crap. I will never buy another vehicle from them.

I only picked that date out of the air. I don't care what day we do it. You suggest a date that will be good and I'll be there.

I agree with Webtoker, Acura Southwest is very good with their customer service. If you're just pricing, check out John Eagle as well. I've heard some bad stuff about Gillman (Acura & Honda).

When i Went Car hunting back in June Acura SW seems most genuine in serviceing the customer, They were gonna put me in a loner car for over a month until mine was delivered. The only thing that kept me from going with A SW was the price, they just would not budge,I bought it elsewhere for like 1500 less and service is none existant.
