Test Drove a TL-S and a CL-S on Sat.

I own a 98 3.0CL and I had the priviledge of test driving a 2001 CL-S and TL-S this past Saturday. I really loved the TL-S. I just wouldn't buy it because it has 4 doors. The best part about the whole sales encouter was that the salesman was cool. He did get a little freaked out when the TL-S hit 130, but all he did was say you might want to slow down a little. After that, all he said was "Well, I guess that is one way to break in a car."

Why did you like the TL-S over the CL-S? I thought they were pretty much the same except for the number of doors.

I like the front end of the TL-S a little better than the CL-S. However, I would buy the CL-S because of the two door thing. What I didn't like about the CL-S was the stupid coin change thing above the radio in the non-navi version. It looks cheap. Like the engineers were like "I dunno, how about a tray for ummmm.....stuff."

Yeah, I agree with you about the change/notepad thing. It does look like they had the Nav in mind when they designed the dash and it left a blank spot on the CLs that didn't have Nav. But look at this way, can you imagine a dvd screen that can pop out from there? I can! It's funny though. Every guy that sees that note pad holder thinks it's cheesy but the women that have seen it think it's the neatest thing. Go figure.
