Does anyone have a tanabe medallion with the mid muffler and resonator taken off? I'm curious what it sounds like before i take the plunge and cut mine

 

I doubt anyone bought a new bolt on catback for 900 just to cut it up. If you were gonna cut then custom would have been the way to go. Harder to sell a cut up exhaust later down road also.

 

It's a hyper medallion (very rare exhaust) but I got a very cheap

 

well actually what you could do is cut off the mid muffler on the stock y pipe and bolt the mufflers to that, its a straight bolt on, but i bet it will be really raspy and i really hate that bumblebee shit sound personally.

or you can weld you a new piece with some flanges to bolt on to the tanabe exhaust
its 4 pieces
the first piece has the resonator, but i bet it will sound like crap, Tanabe is all about having a great sounding exhaust that isn't overly loud.

 

glad im over the the exhaust hump... contemplate it for over a year... then decided to just go axleback to keep things simple
