Synthetic Trans Oil "DON'T USE"
I contacted the Engineering Dept at AMSOIL about using their synthetic Trans Oil in my CL-S. Their reply was
"Unfortunately, our Amsoil Synthetic universal Automatic Transmission Fluid is not recommended for use in newer Acura or Honda
transmissions. Only genuine Honda fluid should be used".
Note, AMSOIL invented synthetic oil and is saying NOT to use their products. I would not use any other brand as well.

I am so happy to hear this from an aftermarket manufacturer. Yet another proof that Acura is not stupid going a certain way with a part (fluid in this case).
I always like to stick to the manual guys.

Mobil One said the same thing when asked about using it for the tranny in the CL-S. Since Acura include special lubricants and other chemicals in their fluid that regular and synthetic tranny fluids do not contain.
I guess I'm only changing the motor oil to synthetic.

Do you change your oil every 7500 miles like the manual says?
I have gone through the first oil change and I did that at 5000 miles. From now on I will be changing my oil at between 6K and 7.5K miles using 5-30 Mobil1 and the OEM filter.
