Sweet E36 M3 Kill last night for the 6speed!!

I was coming back from my Thanksgiving vacation from N.C. last night and I was only a few miles from my house in Frederick, MD. Practically no one on the road for at least half a mile or so on Highway 15 (two lanes). Out of nowhere, I saw the headlights and foglights of an M3. I was in the fast lane cruising in 6th at about 65. He came up on me real quick in my lane and swerved quickly into the right lane. Sounded like he had an exhaust system on it. He was probably in 3rd gear, his engine was revving high. So, I couldn't let this beemer get away with passing me. He gets about even with me and I drop into 3rd hitting about 5500 on the tach, so the Vtec is in, and mind you the temp was a clear crisp 27 degrees. That air intake was loving it!! He gets maybe 5 car lengths ahead of me, and that Vtec kept pulling and pulling. He had that M3 pedal to the floor squealing! I finally switched into 4th at about about 100 mph and by this time, it had only taken me maybe 5 seconds to catch him! It was a black coupe with the 5speed. I looked over at him when we were even again for a quick second, and it looked like he was trying so hard! He didn't know what to think. I continued to pass him and got about 4-5 car lengths in front of him, pulled into the right lane and got in front of him letting up at about 125 mph in 5th and gradually let off the gas. Accelerating past him was like stealing candy from a baby! My turnoff was about a half mile ahead, he passed me on the left side in disgust and I gave him a little sarcastic "beep beep" on the horn.
My adrenaline was pumping and I was so pleased. What a way to end my vacation--another kill for the 6speedS!

So, you put 4-5 car lengths from 100mph to 125mph?
You better be packing a blower of some sort to put that much length on a similar powered vehicle?

Sorry but the M3 older model E36 had its day. My 222 hp Maxima beat it on a roll by 1/2 a car to 90. The CL-S 6spd does low 14s and high 90s for traps. Your M3 would never touch that without serious bolt ons.

LOL!!! I am sure your 222 hp, heavier Maxima beats E36M3s with more hp and less weight. Sure, why not?

I guess you failed to see my sig.
I have S54 M Roadster (new M3 engine for those who don't know). S54 M Roadsters usually run high 12s to very low 13s STOCK. And I am no where near stock. I am sure my 400 rwhp can beat CLSs, do you think? You are welcome to try with your MUCH heavier Maxima with 222 hp at the crank.

That Maxima ran bone stock 14.83 at 94.6 mph with a bad 60 ft. 2.4. And it only weighs 3180.

We were talking about the E36 M3, not about your BMW. You obviously can not read.

This is your exact words, "Your M3 would never touch that without serious bolt ons.". I guess you don't know what you are writing to begin with?
Is this the limit of CLS enthusiast?

Okay, I said that but meant THAT m3. I never looked to see what car you had exactly. I was thinking you had the older M3. Like I said below as a paste, the OLDER M3..

"Sorry but the M3 older model E36 had its day. My 222 hp Maxima beat it on a roll by 1/2 a car to 90. The CL-S 6spd does low 14s and high 90s for traps. Your M3 would never touch that without serious bolt ons."

OMG, dude. Did you think twice before you cut and paste that? Read what you wrote, it reads, "YOUR M3".

That's it, you obviously don't know what you are writing and reading. So, I will just let you have your peace. Sure, your 222 hp Maxima will outrun 240hp M3. Sure when you said, "your M3", you didn't really mean "your M3". Good?

Now, I ask again, is this the limit of a CLS enthusiast? Step down, dude. You are just digging your grave...

It could have been an auto. My friend has a 97 M3 auto and I own his ass when we race. He can take me 0-20 after that I walk away.

I agree, automatic E36M3s are dogs. Finally, a sensible CLS owner who actually knows what he is talking about.

SilverBullet, I know you edited your last post that started with "I never said...". You think I didn't see it? You have now officially earned "clown" status in my book. You look very pathetic by back paddling on what you said... Like one of your fellow CLS owners said, "let it go", dude. You've done enough damage for one day.

Lets see here, I edited it 10-15 minutes before your post. Right after I posted it I noticed a problem so I fixed it. So obviously you are the clown snce you posted 10-15 min after I did but still did not read it right. Hmmm.

E36M3, I will own. PERIOD. 5spd or auto.

240hp vs 260 hp stock, or should I say, 240hp vs 290-300 hp which I now have.

There you go, you say "Your M3" and insist that you didn't mean "Your M3". You say another thing and you actually had to edit your post. How pathetic is that? I thought you humiliated yourself enough in front of your fellow CLS members, but obviously, you have no limit.

But I have to hand it to you though. I kept squashing you and you kept on coming back. Talk about persistence.

By the way, what did you dyno at? You could not possibly say "I have 290-300 hp cause I have these mods"? Assuming you aren't a riceboy, could you be kind and post your dyno sheet? Let me see your almighty 300hp to the crank.

Weird, I don't see anything wrong with my posts. I don't see anyone else complaining except a STUPID kid troll like you whos mommy bought you the car. Or maybe its your dads and not really yours. Headers is automatically 225-235 to the wheels. That is 290 to the crank. Dyno is today btw with the headers on my car this time. It will be posted this evening once its done. Check the general area for the post. Btw, many others are at 235 hp and thats over 300 to the crank on a auto.

sorry to break in on this, but a E36 M3 with the 5spd will do the quarter in 14.0 to 14.2.

btw.... crank HP doesnt count for anything.

Just for reference....

Stock M3 dyno vs a Supercharged M3 on same chart.

The stock #'s are enough to say our cars would take them with just headers alone.

Not stock. I have seen more than my share at the track running high 14s to low 15s mostly.

SilverBullet, you are a typical rice boy.

You haven't even done your dyno and you assume your hp according other people's mods. By doing so, you confirmed that you are nothing more than a ricer.

To make situation worse, you are a stereotype. Just because you feel inferior to me, you assume that BMW was handed to me as a present? Just because you couldn't in life, don't assume that other people can't either.

I can't believe I wasted my time on a ricer. An ignorant tool at that. Therefore, I will end this by saying
"Sure you have 300 hp because you have mods, you don't need to dyno it, you just know it"
"Sure when you said 'Your M3', you didn't mean 'Your M3'"
"Sure your 222 hp Maxima will beat 240 hp M3"
Have a good life with your very limited knowledge.

that means that you are still almost a full second off the time of a stock M3.

the CL-S is a great car, im not disputing that. however the M3 with a 5spd will romp you unless you have zex, comptech blower, or 3.5 upgrade. (mattg is an exception to the rule)

the automatic M3's closer to the times of the CL-S, therefore you will win.

Russ you are officially an idiot. To make a blanket statement like that is dumb. YOU DONT OWN E36 M3s.....PERIOD. At Battle of the Imports at RT 66, there was an E36 Manual (intake) running 14.0@99 all day in 95+ degree. My friend Neal was running mid 14s all day in his bolt on Maxima for comparison(Which is faster than your CL-S). And BTW, compare Apples to Apples. Great comparison of a STOCK E36 and a heavily modded CL-S.

Again quit making blanket statements and prefferably shut your mouth. You get owned so much on message boards its a joke.

I just asked a M3 owner, and he told me himself they run mid to high 14s stock. In the 5spd model. autos are mid 15s.

I even did a search on bimmerforums.com and it shows the same thing.

Lets see. I ran 14.4 at 99.44 mph, bmw m3 runs 14.6 at best lets say, stock at 97mph. hmm....

OK Russ...

Keep thinking that a well driven M3 runs 14.6 at best....I have witnessed one run 14.0@99 at RT 66. You are so ignorant, just keep thinking you will own all E36 M3s with your 204 FWHP modded CL-S.

Exactly, the dyno did not read my car right. Go figure.

Car ran that, I have 10 slips to back that up and witnesses.

204 hp is wrong, and everyone knows that. So shut the hell up.

Car ran that, I have 10 slips to back that up and witnesses.

204 hp is wrong, and everyone knows that. So shut the hell up.
You always have an excuse...

Where are the slips? Where are the witnesses?

more slips I can scan take pics of if you wish. And you can ask DROD on clubgp.com, he was there running same time I was and saw all my runs as well.

His friend also got me on video, not sure when I get the videos but I am on video.

So why you gotta come here and start causing shit? Neals ET was what I posted, and that was out of HIS SIG. Thank you very much. I don't see any Maximas going that fast without NOS, except Emax.

Well post the slips....I can get a slip and write 35 on my car in shoe polish.

BTW...There are quite a few Maximas running under 14.4. What about the 2k2 Auto that ran 13.9 or Neal who ran 13.9.....others are in the low 14s. Get your facts straight.

13.9 auto had drags. 14.4s maximas are 5spd fully modded and a few interior pieces removed.

Okay, here...
