Surefire detailing tip for applying leather conditioner!
I've been making periodic applications of conditioner to the leather seating surfaces of my CL-S practically since the day I got it, and like many of you, I've encountered problems with getting the conditioner trapped in the perforated leather. I had been using a towel to both apply and buff the leather treatement, but came up with a no hassle solution today. A plain-jane, terry wax applicator.
When using the applicator you can apply a very liberal amount of conditioner to the center of the pad, fold it over onto itself to rub the conditioner into the sponge and go to town. With the applicator vs. a towel I was able to lather on the leather treament in a thick, uniform coat without excessive amounts going into the perforations. In the case where I did still get conditioner in the holes, no problem, just turn the applicator over to the clean side and with a bit of rubbing, it comes right out! Finish up the job with a light buffing using a towel and you're set.
The thing that makes the applicator so brilliant is that the conditioner soaks into the sponge (instead of just going through a towel) and with a bit more pressure you can make a little bit go a long way.
Try it out!

I think the answer to this problem is Lexol. I've used it several times and it doesn't leave anything in the perforated leather holes.

I've used EagleOne on old Accord and have used it once so far on the CL with good results. There was a definate difference between the treated and untreated seats: The leather on the treated seat felt much lusher/softer/pliable than the untreated seats. The bottle tells you to apply it like hand lotion, using your bare hands and then buff with a terry towell. Worked great and haven't notice any accumulation in the perforations. Though the terry/foam applicator (Zaino Bros, droideka?) sounds like it might work as well (though may use a little more than just using your hands.)
