I saw some comptech supercharged cl-s 6 speed, aegean blue, in some magazine with an article written up. The guy had springs/shocks/sways/sticky tires and it pulled a .90g on the skidpad

But he had exhaust/icebox/headers/supercharger and the times posted didnt make sense for a 6 speed or auto cl-s

0-60 in 6 seconds and 1/4 mile in 14.2 WTF!

i think it was car and driver? I suppose they don't know how to launch FWD correctly or the climate could've been unfavorable?

It was the current Sport Compact Car. They got 0-60 in 6 seconds ?? My 5AT with SC is alot quicker than that !!

They did have a problem getting the power down and commented that once up to speed "Watch out " They talked about surprising Corvettes

I saw that article also it kinda turned me off on the idea of getting a comptech charger. I mean if i can run 14.8 stock...why the heck would i pay so much for 6 tenths of a second. Also i have an 01 with the auto tranny(obvious) but i dont want to void my warranty either with that charger ..mabye down the road a way's who knows.

This could have been the car on tuner transformation that was on Speed a while back, they were just showing it, not working on it. Funny thing being when the guy said the car doesn't come with a standard LSD....

I guarantee I can run a mid-high 13-sec 1/4. From a roll, you wouldn't even have a chance of keeping up. It's the lack of traction that kills the times. Besides, look at the trap times of stock vs. supercharged and you'll have a better understanding of what the S/C can really do for this car. I pulled on a stock STI w/ my 3.5psi S/C pulley and that car is no joke.

no the same article, how the hell is this a repost, i just saw this article in a new issue of a magazine in a store , and matt G i was talking about your FAST car, I realize you run 14.1 or whatever but this kids car on highway speeds is amazing, he was behind me and past me like I wasnt moving...I dunno some weird shit as his 1/4 mile times arent that great.

1/4 mile times don't lie and i've run quicker (and trapped higher) than he has, even if not by much.

don't forget that i have headers, pulleys, light wheels, cat back exhaust and unichip. where you only have an intake.

104mph is good for at least mid 13's if they had some real tires and a decent track. Plus, C&D is not known to get the best times thats for sure.

Let's just say that at the track I was shifting 1st at 5K and 2nd at 5500 and the boost was at 14 PSI on the highway I was redlining at around 16-17 PSI, just for you buddy ... and I was kinda pissed off at the time too. O well, hey mattg, I told you, I will run Leighton, SFLA Type-S off the bottle whenever u please buddy, with my new(er) slightly larg(er) turbo, new software, and 3" piping I have no fear!!! Unless the CL unleashes the bottle then I'm farked. But hey, you can't spray in 5th anyways so c'mon beeshes, let's go on a highway roll!!!

ok, back on topic... either way, .90g's for a FWD pig is impressive

It's just so hard to put the hp down on the pavement. With drag tires to get a better start, I'll bet you'd be in the 13's (at least the high 13's). I've spun my tires all through 1st gear before with my crappy stock tires. That's at 5300 feet! I can just imagine how hard it is to launch at sea level.

No problem, I gotta stick up for you, because in all honesty your car pulled like crazy on the highway...I realize I only have intake, but the way you pulled was crazy. It seriously felt like you were passing me because I wasnt moving, thats how quick you pulled and kept going.

And yes the .90g for this boat is impressive,

My car with springs/shocks/sways handles very well, and thats with all season tires...when I get my eagle max performance tires on, the car should feel even better. I am impressed with the transformation after driving a stock CL again....WAY different!
