Had the car in on Friday for oil change and to take care of the sunroof rattle and the wind noise. Had the deflector adjusted about 6 months ago but they apparently overdid it and since then there is too much wind noise at higher speeds but when I slightly depress the deflector, it gets a lot better. So I explain all this to the service guy, tell him there's a svc bulletin out on it. He nods and I walk away. Get the car back an hour later, read the svc report from the mechanic and it says he applied "noise quieting tape around perimeter of sunroof" opening and of course silicon spray. I can't find the tape and the thing makes the same rattling sound and wind noise as before.
Question: What are the svc bulletins on fixing the noise and the rattle? I've seen them posted here many moons ago. I want to go back and show them what I want done.

 

Have them replace the deflector. In my case that deflected was causing the wind thumping noise and was rattling since it was so loose. That will fix you up ... not sure on the bulletin info, but they should replace the deflector.

I don't see one for the deflector. Hope this helps.

 

The wind noise with the roof open was so bad that I installed the moonroof wind deflector. Got it at ahmotors for something like $49. Sounds,...err, rather "doesn't" sound great.

Lets not even start on the deafening noise from the side mirrors. As soon as I can find reasonable replacements, their mine!
