about the sunroof rattle that is problematic with our cars, how can you tell if you have the problem? is it really obvious? i'm wondering because it's really loud when i have my sunroof open on the highway, or even going moderately fast like 55. is there any way to have something tightened up to make it a bit quieter?

Your just hearing wind noise and maybe a slight vibration of the popup wind deflector. The "sunroof rattle" is when the sunroof is closed, and yes it is quite noticeable. I told my dealer about it and they put some stuff that looked like grease or silicon around the gasket and it fixed it

damn, it's too noisy. wish there was another way besides getting the moonroof visor.

Nope the visor is the only way, but I can't stand the look of the visor so I just turn up the radio

If you want to check the sunroof for the "rattle"
do this: Drive around at a moderate speed sunroof fully closed sunroof shade pulled back .If it is there you will hear a sort of creaking or rattle .It goes away the minute the sunroof is opened slightly.The correct fix is the clear teflon tape with a thorough cleaning on the seal itself.To avoid recurrence it is important tha t that sunroof seal be cleaned on a regular basis as part of the car cleaning routine .
