Tranny number 4 dead...Thank god for the class action lawsuit and the 109k mile tranny warranty....I have 106k miles on the odomotor! Question, since the Jersey shore has no acura dealers...

1. Will honda dealers do acura warranty work?
2. Am I stuck with the towing bill?

I know this is a tranny question, but I would appreciate the mods leaving it here as I am in a pickle.

Do you have AAA? I'd go that route first, but if you don't, try finding the closest Acura dealership and tell them your tranny is dead for the 4th time and it's completely covered and see if they'll honor a tow without a fee. Other than that I don't think there's many options. I don't think a Honda dealership will do it but I guess it'd be worth a try if there's one close. Good luck and keep us updated.

acura should reimburse you for any out of pocket expenses incurred during a failure. notice i say SHOULD. at least thats what it says in their paperwork.

Sadly even though the dealership should be paying for it, there is a decent chance they'll try to weasel outta it. AAA Plus would be good to carry when your driving a car like that with known issues. Plus gets ya 100 miles of towing. Premier would get ya either 200 miles in a single tow or 100 miles from 3 separate towing services. Really worth the price ya pay for it. Good luck with the repair. Time to get a 6-speed.
