strut bar question
I just bought the Neuspeed strut tower bar that fits the accord and when i went to put it on, it seems to be off just enough that it does not fit. Do I need to remove the stock bar in order to get it on? Anybody know what I need to do?

Mine was TIGHT AS HELL to get on too.
The bolt holes were “off” by about a quarter inch.
I had to unfasten the stock bar hardware, but not remove it.
I also had to jack up the driver’s side of the car while everything was loose and I still had to push like heck to get it to go over the mounting studs.

thanks, I'll give that a try. Should you have to jack up the car in order to get the bar on or should it just fit?

The harder it is to put in the better, as the strut towers will be tied together more firmly with a "tight" install.
Jacking the car up usually gets the strut towers closer together so that you can install the bar. If jacking one side of the car doesn't work take that side off the jack and try jacking up the other side (sometimes jacking the front of the car works too).
Hope this helps,

With the combination of springs, sways, upper bar and wider rubber, my front end actually sticks TOO GOOD and now the REAR of the car tends to break loose first.
When I temporarily removed the Neuspeed bar to install my headers, the blue paint from the inner fender was actually rubbed away under where the bar is mounted.
The are some serious forces transmitting through there.
ANY extra stiffness in the front reduces flexing during hard cornering and for only 100-bucks or so I think this is a worthwhile mod.

As long as the back end comes along for the ride without getting too out of shape I think the handling has been improved.
I am “slightly” worried about how this sucker is going to handle in SNOW after the mods I have made.
Hopefully the snow tires on all four wheels will help keep the back end in line when cornering.
I could always remove the front bar for winter driving if I sense a problem and it’s not like I’m going to be pushing it hard around corners in the winter.
