Stressing on a intake

why does the acura-cl look so hard to install an intake? Me and my friend were looking at the intake and took it out and then looked around to see what else is needed to be taken out before we install the v2 in my car. All i see is bolts coming out left and right lol. So much stress but i guess it'll be worth it in the end.

it's not as hard as it looks in all honesty.

I installed my Comptech Icebox intake myself and prior to that I hadn't really modified anything any car myself in terms of engine components.

good luck though, it's a fun lil install.

its really easy man... i just put mine in on friday and it is worth it... its the little extra omph you need after your used to your cars HP an FT/lbs it adds a lil more and you do feel a difference.

if its a cold air intake, you do have to take off the wheel well cover... a friend of mine tried to be lazy without doin it and he wound up taking it off after much struggling

and the sound you get, awesome... i hope you have a S type

I have a V2 in my CLS you have to trim 4 inches off of the pipe going to the throttle body or it wont fit and the coupler it comes with takes some persuasion to get it to fit. It looks cool under the hood i dont know if there is any power difference compared to a regular CAI but i think its something unique to have at the car show ifs thats what your looking for.

thx you guys for posting on my thread. It really means a lot to me since i'm a new owner of a CL-P. Now i'm just afraid of after installing to not drive into any hard rain since i looked through the forum and saw a lot of people having engine damage and seized and stuff like that.
