stock CD changer problem

hey guys

- recently i notice this problem
- when i try to change the cd from one cd to another, it does not change, instead i get this error message and automatically changes to radio from CD

- i tried to eject the CDs but does not work, pressed and hold the eject to take out all CDs but that does not work either

- looks like stock audio is having issues changing the CDs sometimes
- any tips on fixing this??

thanks in advance~

i dont know why these cd changers do this...i think it happens to everyone...what i do is just like press my finger against the cd door (the long cd insert), and then it just works again, like you'll hear the changer rotating...dont know if anyone's figured that out yet lol...

It's a defect. I think Acura was replacing them a while back.

It's common on 01 & early 02's. I had the changer in my 02 do that & Acura replaced it.
There are a few tricks that may get your CD's out, but the changer is likely done. I see used ones on Ebay & the black market from time to time. Just make sure you get a radio code with it. There are ways around that, but's it make things easy.

I had the problem on my '03 and Acura replaced it as a "good will" issue. It was long after the warranty expired.

By the way, for your info the changer is not a Bose unit it's Alpine. Found that out doing the research on my problem.
