Stock CD Changer Died... $100 Deductible for new radio
The stock indash CD changer no longer works. Radio & Tape Player work fine, but the CD changer is FUBAR.
With the extended warranty, Acura will install a new one, but it carries a $100 deductible. (The 3rd party vendor authorized a $893.00 payment), which implies a $1000.00 radio
Anyone else have a similar issue with getting Acura to replace the stock head unit?¿
anyone get it done for free?

I took mine in for service and mentioned that the cd's get stuck sometimes when ejecting them, actaully only happened twice but anyway, they replaced the whole unit no charge.

Are you still under the factory warranty? If so, there should be no deductible. However, if you're factory warranty has expired, then a $100 deductible must be what you have on your extended warranty. Sounds like it's starting to pay for itself!! A new radio for $100 doesn't sound too bad to me.

They were cool at the dealer, he said that since my warranty was about to expire they would just order me a new one and not mess around with it. That does suck that you have to pay, but on the other hand, it could be a lot worse than $100.

whichever comes first. Well i guess you can look at it as either a good or bad thing. I can't get an extended warranty, well it doesn't pay. I put a lot of miles on my car commuting to work, so the mileage would come up way before the 3 years would.
