Stock air box broken, help!
hey guys!
that damn mechanic broke one of plastic straps which holds the upper part of the box. I tried to tight it as much as I can but it still a lilbit lose.
do u guys think it might be a problem? anyone had the same? is there any way to fix it or should I buy a new part? or maybe get a Icebox instead?
thanx in advance

thanx guys for quick reply
i tried to talk to the guy but he said he had nothing to to with that
so f*ck him don't have a time to deal with that now
how is fuel efficiency with the Icebox?
is there reasonable hrsp and torque increase?
thnx again

search is your best friend...
in a nut shell:.... what you think a gas pedal is, is NOT.. it is an air pedal.. when you press the so-called gas pedal, your opening up the throttle plate with lets more air into the intake manifold and into the runners.. from there air & fuel mix in the chamber to produce combustion from a spark.
When you have a restrictive Stock air filter and press the air pedal (aka gas pedal) the response time and air flow is reduced... with the air box, air flow is increased and is less restrictive which lets more air flow easier through the omni foam filter.
so .. the air box is great... and there are small HP gains..

I was replacing a stock air filter with a K&N air filter and broke one of the two plastic loops on the air cleaner housing. On one side their are screws on the other side their are two plastic loops you have to try to see as you fit the top back on.
I found the broken piece down in the engine bay, tried to super glue it back but it wasn't a clean break so that didn't work. What is working is a small paper clamp (you squeeze the clamp handles to open the clamp lips). It looks bogus but the clamp is holding the top and bottom halves of the air cleaner housing together.
