So I pull up next to this girl at an intersection, Im not sure of the year of her Eclipse but its the the body style of the '97. And it was the top model. Huge spoiler, raised bump in the hood. Not sure of the name off the stop of my head. But anyways back to the story. My friends like rev it im like no way man thats crazy. So the light turns green and she takes off like a bat outta hell IM liek shit! so i floor it and start gaining on her and the light ahead is head so I brake and she kinda wait a little while and comes toa screeching stop at the intersection haha. Well the following night I see the same eclipse, same girl driving and this time it was at the same intersection but going the other way. On state route 422 haha. So Im like screw this Im going to race her this time. And She gets the jump because I was looking over at her car to see if she was inching or what not. And I catch her and Im about 1 to1.5 car lengths ahead of her and Im at 95 MPH when this old lady pulls out in this cavalier sedan. And luckily she pulled out into the girls lane hahhaa. SO i kept goiing and the girl swirves behind me so she didnt kill the lady. ANd thats my story. haha. It was kind of funny.

 

well it wasnt a GS-T or a GSX, im confident about that.

it was most likely a GS. thats the ONLY eclipse a 2.2 has a chance against.

 

i dont even know where to begin on this 1....

No I have a 3.0 not a 2.2 Yea its a stupid place. haha but its ok. Idk I just thought Id share this story haha

Could of been an automatic GS-T... about as quick as a J30 CL

 

Im thinking it was definitely an automatic. There is no way this girl could drive stick. She went to my High School, I graduated, she was a year under me. And lets just say she wasnt the brightest of ppl, plus i saw no hints to it being a stick

 

im not gonna lie, sounds like you were racing in a busy intersection for someone to pull out on you. racing in busy places gives street racers a bad image because thats how innocent people get caught in it.

 

I raced a Eclipse GS 5spd with I/H/E/P in my old 01 AV6(same engine, tranny and weight as your 3.0CL) and all I had was AEM CAI and magnaflow axle-back and I beat him buy quite a bit from a dig and a roll. No doubt you should beat a GS. I still believe a GS-T auto is faster than a 3.0CL or a 98-02 AV6. Good kill!

 

thats a dumb thing to say. maybe she couldnt drive it well enough to race her car but still you're the one driving an autotragic..

 

Yea your probably right. But if it was my choice there is no way in hell Id have an Auto.
