still waiting for tranny from Rick Case

I have been waiting for my transmission from RickCase Acura for over 1 1/2 months. I have already put close to 4000 miles on this rental(SUV) which drinks more gas then the CLS. Does anyone have this kind of wait from your dealers especially with tranny issues?

Isn't that starting to fall into the Lemon Law catagory?

I was without my car for about a week and a half if I remember correctly and that was bad enough. I also had my tranny replaced at Rick Case. Lately though, many people have been told they need to wait a month for their new tranny to come in. This really sucks, especially since I'm losing faith in my new tranny.

This may fall under the lemon law since it states that you are entitled to a refund or replacement if the vehicle has been out of service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of 30 calendar days. There are some catches to this and specific procedures you must undergo though, so I'd find out as much as possible about the lemon law in Florida if I were you. I may have to go this route myself, unfortunately.

Luckily, my new transmission was ordered and installed in less than a week. I had it done at Tustin Acura in So. Cali. My service advisor told me they had already replaced a tranny on another CL Type S.

I'm still breaking it in, but after the break-in, I'll see how well it downshifts under hard acceleration. So far, the shifts are pretty smooth, but then again, I'm driving like an old man right now.
