Both were running low 14s, I honestly think the STi could have done quite a bit better. I think Mantis said it was 14.1 vs. 14.4 or something, the STi ought to be able to shave at least a half second off that with practice.

Damn, low 14's for an STi.. That boy need some more practicing.. All in all nice run... Here are some basically stock STi vids running at the track..
Here is one with just a catback(not turbo back).. Basically stock engine paper filter with no intake resonator..*vid*

Here is another vid of an average driver with stock STi against a modded E36 M3(Active Autowerke LTW Flywheel and heavy duty clutch, Conforti CAI, B&B Tri-Flo, Dinan Stage II software) *vid*

Not suprising. You really have to punish and AWD car to get the benefit from the traction. Need to hold the engine at 5-6k and dump the clutch. That's how the magazines get those times. Hard to do with something you just bought.

Both times we raced, I had lower ETs, but on the first race, he beat me down the track, my RT was 1.1 something (pure shit).
My best time of the night was 13.975 @ 101(D3), then a 14.087 @ 101(D3), and a 14.1 @101(SS Mode). On the first race in which we both fucked up, I tried to spray out of the hole and spun straight through 1st & second, I didn't grab until 3rd, and ran a 15.3 @ 99 mph(gate shift). It was hilarious. I thought I could spray out of the hole, but boy was I wrong. The CL weighed in @ 3600 lbs., didn't catch what his weighed.
On the first run, he ran a 15.8 to my 15.3, and he seriously bogged down his launch. We hung our heads in shame. :P
Happy I got into the 13s, but I was hoping for at least a 13.7.

You got to careless about your car and be willing to risk big $$$$ to rev it to 6,000RPM and drop the hammer on this car to duplicate those numbers . . .

Also, the CLS wasn't hooking up for $hit . . he should have dropped another 3-4 10th off of his time as well.

Hey Mantis, did the video of me vs the SC G35C turn out?
No one will believe I won that one . . .
All in all a good showing by the DFW Acura Guys.
We had Mantis (CLS) beating (Inferno) WRX STi
We had Danny25 (CLS) beating a Honda S2000
and we had yours truely (TLS) beating a G35C

Clay & 2 quick coats of the Z took care of the stuff on the sides though.
