SRS problem...

Hi Everyone,

after i made a hard 90 degree turn(40km/h)

my SRS light came on and never goes away, its still even after restart the car.

any one have this problem.

i will bring it to the dealer for 12000km check up tomorrow. Will they give me problem since my car is lower with eibach pro-kit? will the lowering have anything to do with it? Did i void the warranty since i lower my car? and do i need to pay money to get it fix?

Should the dealer try to align the wheels to factory spec(as close as possible) since its one of the thing to do for 12000km service. wheel alignment.

please advice.

I don't thin alignment is part of warranty, but the springs shouldn't void the warranty or you should have to pay to get that fixed, UNLESS they find the springs were indeed the cause of the srs failure.

Springs could have nothing to do with SRS failure.. You should take it in right away because you don't want an airbag blowing up in your face.

Your sharp turn could have caused a wire disconnect from one of the SRS sensors.

Mine has been on for 2 weeks.

I had the dealer reset the code 15-3 OPDS (you can't reset it yourself by unplugging the battery), but it came on again. Luckly they went ahead and ordered a sensor part (675 WA) needed to fix the problem. My appointment is this Thursday.

Take it to the dealer.

my g/f accord does the same but she refuses to take it in. She says it's due to someone not sitting in the right position while in the car. WTF is she talking abot.

The passenger SRS system requires the passenger to sit upright in the seat. If they are leaning against the window or sitting funny, the sensor in the seat warns you that the side airbag will not inflate until the sensor goes off. It's a safety feature.

On the CL-S there's a separate side airbag warning light. My daughter always triggers it when she's riding with me.

My situation, it's always on wheather or not someone is sitting there.

I bought my CL-S from a bank that had repossed it and the SRS was on. I took it into to the dealer and they replaced the sensor - said there was a bulletin out about it. They had to order it and installed it the next week. No problems since.
