squeaks and rattles...part 2
So I took the CLS6 to Woodfield Acura in Hoffman Estates, Il, complaining about a VERY irritating squeaky council and a sunroof that moaned and groaned over every driveway entrance-even the ones that are "cut down". I am thinking what a waste of time this will be. They gave me a nice little RSX as a loaner and I went back to work, one half of an hour away.
I was back at work about ten minutes and the cell phone rings and it is the dealer. Car is ready, all fixed.
They found and fused an "open seam" in the council, and they applied a tape solution to the sunroof. Also, the car was as clean as a whistle, inside and out.
I am happy to say the car is now as quiet as a cathedral with nobody in it! Judgeing by the time it took them to repair the squeaks and rattles, it appears to me that these are common problems and they knew exactly what to do.
Nicky Pass is right. He and I have it real good with Woodfield Acura. This car is SO MUCH NICER when everything is as it should be.

Acura can only fix main squeaks and rattles ( the ones easily obsered and reproduced). However, there are thousands small ones, which are intermittent, and happening in different places. Something 'ticks' or 'clicks', its a always new spots. It's simply stupid plastic interior.... new way for car companies to save money. They use materials that can easily be recyclyed.
I am very upset with constant ticks and clicks everywhere in the cabin, however, we are not the only one. Most cars in this price range have similar build, especially with stiff suspension. I think the real solution is to buy softer suspension car.

Glad to hear it worked out. I've been going there myself after Nicky' recommendation, and I've been very satisfied. It's nice that they go through what they did after the job is finished.
Hm. Why not? Last time I went, they left a car with the name of the technician who cleaned my car.
dont let em clean ur car though
