squeaking sound at slow speeds?? yes i searched!
hey guys, its been awhile since my last post..but i have a question since this forum is always helpful when i run into trouble!
so i searched long and hard but couldnt find anything to answer my situation specifically...
this past week or so ive been hearing a high pitched (not to be mistaken for loud, its relatively quiet, just high pitched) squeaking sound coming from the front end, more than likely the right front tire. i hear it only when starting from a stop or at slow speeds of about 0-10 miles per hour. One theory I have is that it could possibly be the brake warning indicator sound coming from that pin? But its silent when braking, the brakes arent making any other scraping sounds and they feel fine.
What else could it be? Ball joint? CV? Wheel bearing?
Note: The right front ball joint busted last fall and the whole front tire came undone and the fender fell on it and everything..so insurance replaced all the suspension in that front right tire (shocks, springs, lower control arm, ball joint) so Im wondering, could it really be a ball joint already? that accident happened right before the winter so it got painted and then stored for the winter, ive been driving the car about 2.5 weeks so far this spring and its def out of alignment since the alignment wasnt done after that incident. Could the bad alignment be causing wear and tear? or just be making sounds? Help would be greatly appreciated guys cuz im scared to drive the car, i dont want another ball joint incident!!
If anyone has any insight please chime in, i have to leave the house soon and im seriously tempted to call a cab! I dont want to have to do that so thanks again for the help!
