Spoiler on new cl

I,m going to trade in my 98 cl on a new 6 speeed when they come out. On my 98 I keep braking the spoiler due to the 15s I have in the trunk. My question is if the spoiler on the new cl is stronger? I noticed that it has no center mount and thats where mine keeps braking.

Is yours oem or aftermarket??

I don't have one, but maybe some CLSers that have gone to the 140mph+ can jump in.

I've not been to the 142 mark, but I've done 134, and it was no probs at all.

I have a 99 TL with the OEM spoiler. I have a 12" sub (soon to add 2 more 12" subs) and an amp pushing out 1000 watts (soon to add 2 more amps), plus have driven to 147 mph. My point is, my spoiler is just fine.

if your pushing out enough bass to crack urethane then you have far worse problems then a broken spoiler.

im gonna assume you have a aftermarket fiberglass spoiler.

that much bass is ludicrous!

I'm not showing-off. I just hope the trunk and the spoiler can handle that much bass when everything is installed.
