In Kansas violations of 80 or less in a 70mph zone will not show up on your record or will it increase your insurance premiums. Monday February 23, 2004 I was coming back from my parents home in Emporia to Olathe. I was driving about 78 in a 70mph zone. A trooper turns around and pulls someone over. They were not going any faster than I was. I believe they were targeting me. I am not sure why but believe they may be cracking down on speeders. I thought they allow about 83 in a 70mph zone but maybe they have changed in the past couple months. Be careful when driving I-35 through Kansas.
