I installed one of those for my friend about 3 months ago. It was cool but it was kinda flashy for what it is. Now that I found out you can bypass the factory amp, I am set for life with the stock head unit. I may consider changing it out when MP3 head units get a lot better.

NICE. but wouldn't want to have it in my car since headunits are like so stylish these dayz they only look good for say 3 months and then something new comes out and the one u have looks all old and out dated. that'z why i just want to keep my stock headunit and may be just change the ampz for mids w/ that money. also THEIVES will always tries to steal your headunit. Just IMO

WRONG..............

Per the HELM manual:
The 2001 CL & CL-S have a single AMP located in the trunk area on the passenger side, which powers all SIX speakers.

Thanks Shawn, appreciate the info. You know, I don't understand why some people are so fast to respond with the wrong answer. I mean, I'm not going to offer advice to someone unless I'm really sure that I know what I'm talking about. Either they are intentionally missleading people or they like the sound of their own voice too much! Enough rambling, thanks again.
