Sohc?
hey guys
ive been researching the CLS
i dont have one of my own but i was wondering is it true that the CLS is SOHC?
is that good?
i was always told that DOHC is better
why would they make the CLS with SOHC
any insight?
sanks

The reasoning behind the SOHC in the CL is first...the J-series block is a single cam design. The SOHC is also better for low end torque...thus, around town driving is enhanced versus balls out racing. Another reason for the SOHC...is that the NSX has a DOHC 3.2L and to make a CL with that much extra power would take away from the NSX image. So, when the NSX and RL get a power bump...you can expect the same to happen for the CL/TLs....
