....with her and my father in it. She has a 2002 CR-V. I put my foot to the floor to climb a hill. When I do that, I'm expecting to be pushed back in my seat, like when driving my CL-S. But I put my foot to the floor, and it downshifts 2 gears, and I don't feel anything. I see the tach shoot up to like 4.5g, or so. I feel an ever so slight surge, but not much.

I start laughing so hard, that I almost teared. . My parents then ask me what's so funny. <--again. I said. "oh, nothing really. I'm just used to a car with 100 more HP" Then I laugh even harder. I guess my parents didn't get it. Oh well. Just thought yous guys would laugh.

Unless your parents are deadbeats, they are the reason you own the car you do.... so i wouldn't make fun of anything they drive (not with them in the car anyway )

I do the same thing whenever I drive my mom's or sister's car. My sister was shocked when she drove the CL around the block the first time.

No sir. They're not the reason I have my car. I'm the reason I have the car I do. I bought it. I make the payments, it's in my name. Oh well. I'm not trying to be an ass or anything. They're the reason I had my old car. But my mom new it was just in fun. She didn't care. She made fun of all my door dings and missing paint on my front bumper from the license plate bracket. So oh well.


Same here. When I had my Accord, (4cyl) my sister just bought an '04 Altima 2.5s. She would always brag about how quick it was. I let her drive my CL one night. She got a speeding ticket. hahaha.

I think he meant put you on this earth, raised you well, put you in the position where you could afford the car, kind of thing.

My wife's ride's a Land Rover (V8) and it sucks going up big hills. Sucks gas too.
