So I made the jump.....
Bought (well, I'm paying tomorrow or Monday) the CT S/C!
I'm looking into a new fuel and boost guage too, so if anyone can answer my question: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163686 Thank would be great!
For those who have installed it themselves, any tips/hints on any part of the installation or the overal installation?
I'll keep everyone updated.

Talk to Mr Steve he just got the S/C and gauges.. or just do a search I know he posted it up..
And if you do a search under Chaptorial you will see his S/C checklist..
Lots of info between the two threads..

Yea, just checked them out. I guess I rather be safe than sorry, I'll probably get the guages. So many to choose from, haha
Thanks Jonesi!
Still undecided if I want to tackle the installation myself or leave a shop up to it, I'm certainly capable of it, but the shop I may go to warranties their work for 12000mi/1Yr. So it's definitely a trade off.

Welcome to the club.
I found that the Ultra-Lite gauges by Autometer matched the factory "silver-faced" gauges very nicely. They are pricey but worth it.
I ordered everything from Summit Racing and it came out to be a little over $400 that includes the two fittings you'll need. Plus you'll need the gauge pod which isn't too expensive. All in all, under $500 out the door for everything you need.

Thanks guys!
Well, if my friend and I don't have time to install it before the end of January, how does $1K total to include labor + dyno + 1 year warranty at a local CompTech distrubutor/installer sound?
...or should I just do it myself?

Sounds pretty good to me. Maybe a little high. My dealership charged $1050 but that included the install of the S/C, tranny cooler, both gauges, thermostat & fan switch, and B-Pipe.

Thanks for the PM reply Arnold....
Nokio,
Yea, I've seen those guages, pretty damn nice, a few of my VW buddies have them, I think they're made by Omori, please correct me if I'm wrong... Pretty pricey though... I'll definitely look into them. OTHO, I'm looking for non-digital guages, so.... I'll gather up my choices and look at all the possibilities soon.

congrats.
If you need something during the install, we can help...
best advise I can give you... get a copy of the install directions in advance and read them over a few times...

Well, looks like I'm going to have to skip out on the S/C until January or some time later. My mom has been having a terrible recovery from her rotator cuff surgery and it's to the point where it is unbearable that she had to go to the ER today. It seems like they have to open up to perform a manipulation. I'll have to cancel the order on the pod and gauges now. But family comes first and spending is not the wises thing at this point.

Congrats on the SC.
I hope your Mom has a speedy and smooth recovery. Family does come first.
Smitty's right - we can definitely help guide you through it. It's lengthy but not complicated. Get a copy of the instructions from Comptech's website:
http://www.comptechusa.com/install.html
There are a couple of modifications to their installation instructions that I would change. You can also tackle some of the pieces if you want in advance as you have time so the final installation will be shorter. I found Scalberts installation in phases a good reference also.

Aww Dust sorry to hear about your mom. Yeah my mom talked to your mom, and she said if there is anything we can do, just let me know. I was really looking forward to that install too. :/
Good luck and best wishes.
Eddie.
P.S. Call me sometime man.....
