snow, curve, and a curb ownz me!

Snow/ice, sharp curve and a curb ownz me! Coming home the other night during the beginning of the snow storm I guess I took a curve a little too fast/hard and I ended up skidding into the curb up ahead! Now I need a new rim, control arm, hub, knuckle and I thought axle (need to call the dealer back). Dealer is quoting me at about $1200 ($900 for parts, 200-300 for labor)

I guess in hind site it could have been much worse! No one was hurt and I just hit a curb and no pole or anything. While I was at the dealer some other guy had totalled his MDX and the sales manager I spoke to said he had a similar situation as I did except he hit a telephone pole and wrecked his car. I guess my OZs will just have to wait a little longer.

Pole almost ownes me

I was almost in the same situation because I was also speeding on ice. Last thursday late in the evening I am driving down this slope covered in ice pretty fast. I see this Mercedes up ahead, although far, going very very slow so I decide to slow down myself.

Can't stop... ABS is working full tilt but car isn't stopping...I should also mention that I have stock tires w/ 24k on them. So I am sliding into this Merc like crazy and the bastard is going super slow... I can't move left cause its oncomming traffic... I try to move right off the road but as I do I see a light pole right in front of me I make the choice to hit the Merc instead of the pole so I move back on to the road but luckily the movement slowed the car enough that the slow Merc got away. But I was about 2 inches from that pole at some point!!!

Then I realized that my right calf muscle was hurting because of the long time I spent holding down the break and all the kickback from the ABS.

Yes... def. going too fast on ice.... but once again I swear that above all those POS stock mitch's kill me!!!!
