Smoked a new G35 the other night
I was at a red light in the left turn lane. It was last friday night. I always look back to see what cars are approaching. By the headlights, I recognized it was a new Infiniti G35. He kept inching closer, I guess trying to intimidate me. I had no idea what tranny he had either. So, I casually turn left and cruise to about 20 mph and just switch into 2nd, waiting for his approach beside me. He stays behind me for a literally 2 seconds and then jerks out to the right lane suddenly, it catches me off guard for a second. He has the engine at full throttle, gets almost perfectly even with me before I launch and drop into 1st. It was never even after that. I redlined 1st and 2nd gear and switched into 3rd at about 60-65 or so (trying to stay on the road!) The road had a gradual S shape to it and i took both curves as hard as I could. I believe he had a passenger though. By the time I hit 70, he was about 3-4 car lengths back. I shut down and rolled up to the next stop light. We both had our windows down, he kinda looked over at me, shook his head in disgust, and turned right very slowly! I went straight.
