Smoked a Crown Vic....
You know - the ones with flashing blue lights & "Greenville County Sheriff" on the doors! 
Saw a good friend tonight and after she gets done ohhhing & ahhhing over the 'Vette, I get an interesting question. "Can we even keep up with those?" (she is a deputy). Well, I get an offer I can't refuse - high speed chase on an empty I-385.
For the record, a police issue Crown Vic w/ light bar on the roof hits the aerodynamic wall at 108 mph by my speedo (Alyssa said her calibrated unit in the car read 104.3 mph). I did have to violate the break in rules a little - dropped it into 4th and blew past her at 130 (KA gun told her 127 mph). Oops, kinda exceeded 4000 rpms on that one 
Also got a phone call 2 seconds afterwards telling me that I could: (A) slow down NOW, (B) spend the rest of my life in jail with my new car impounded by her . Not that having her handcuff you would be bad......
Anyway, I can tell that my license is in serious jeopardy! Maybe a 2nd V1 would be a good idea. Or some of the radar absorbing stealth fighter paint........

Sounds to me like having a friend that is a cop is going to be important in getting you out of hot water in the future...But, I sure am with ya...tis a chore to keep the S at a reasonable speed!!! Anyone know the speed limit in Nevada??? I'm thinking about moving out there...maybe SoCal, maybe Vegas and I was just wondering.

Closest I've been personally was I-10 from Dallas to El Paso. I mean, hundreds of miles of nothing, but damn, wish I had been driving the 'Vette instead of an '86 Accord 5 speed LX-i
