Slotted/Cross Drilled Rotor Question!!
Ok first off I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to post this here or in the suspension section, so mods please move if necessary. I figured I would get more responses from here anyways. So moving along here is my question...before I go and spend $500 on Rotora slotted/cross drilled rotors for the front and rear of my CL along with front and rear EBC greenstuff pads...Are there any other good rotors out there that are slotted/cross drilled? I know for a fact the Brembro doesn’t make it for out car they just make the blanks. I have seen other brands such as Powerslot and SP....just looking for some feed back and maybe even some advice as to if I should just drop the $500 on the EBC and Rotora's. Thanks

I just bought the Rotora slotted and drilled rotors from excelerate and ebc green stuff, installing this weekend. Rotors look really good, I wouldn't trust those brembo blanks drilled in someones back yard. I say pay the extra bucks one time and get something good.

PowerSlot and another company that's based in the south makes Cryogenic rotors too...lasts about 2 to 3 times longer than other rotors...but they are about 3 times as expensive...

Powerslot Cryo rotors will probably be your best bet for warpage resistance and longevity. They're a bit more but a very durable rotor.
Google "cryogenic brake rotors" if you're not familiar with the process.

yeah it looks like i gotta drop almost $500 on the slotted/drilled rotora's. $190 for the front, $165 for the rear, 75 for ebc front's and 55 for ebc rear's+paypal+shipping.

i wouldnt get crossdrilled. rotors loose structural integrity when you drill holes in them. also if you arent tracking your car CD is pretty pointless.

I have power slots on my Explorer. They work very well.
I have the Rotora's on my Acura & they are warped a little.. Might just be my driving style. I drive hard & brake hard. Sometimes I feel it braking from 80 or 90, sometimes never. They were true when I bought them & the lugs were TQ'd & rotors were broken in correctly. I was easy the first 500 miles also. I only have about 2500 miles on the setup. It's not bad yet.

I am using Rototech cross-drilled / slotted made by a Canadian company along with legend brakes and oem brakepads and the combination has been working like charm. i would definitely recommend the rototech, am not sure about the price though.
