Skunk2 & Venom
Skunk2 has an ECU Conversion Harness to go from OBD1 to an OBD2 ECU part # 201-05-0120. I was just down at Autoauthority (Fairfax, VA). I was going to call Robin technician and ask if the harness will worked to subitute an OBD1 and use the hondata program on CL's. A friend of mine, George, who sold me the CL from Baierl Acura and who has one himself was getting his 98 Predule dynoied with hondadata program. It kept missing when the Vtec kicked in. He is using Crower Cam 9:1 JDM's and FMax Aqua mist turbo. Robin got the miss fixed when the Vtec kicked in but he started getting another miss. He thinks it is the MSD not putting out enough spark. Robin suggest the MSD6L instead. But at any rate, George is drop shipping the MSD6AL Monday to AutoAuthority. The first dyno showed 168 at the wheels, the last dyno at before the 2nd miss showed 340 at the wheels. Who knows what he will end up with afyter he fixes the other miss.
Also, Venom has a performance 400 module for the CL's for 297 retail that is suppose to work on even OBD 2 as well as OBD 1 and is suppose to improve CL's ponies as much as 25%. It's suppose to reduce flat spots and delayed timing during sudden accelerations.
Has anyone had experience with these 2 items above or has installed either of the two?

Going back down this thursday 11-7-02 call you when we get down there. If you get a chance, go look at the 98 prelude, its in the dyno bay across from showroom beside a Shade/blind place. I was really suprise, I felt like a minority. Seem like Every business had their bus name in English and I think Japanesse. I think I counted about 23 Porches there that day and 10 Beemers.

I've heard mixed reports about Skunk2. my one friend has nothing but Skunk2 on his car and says that's all he'll put on his Civic but I had another friend when rebuilding his motor. he put in a Skunk2 cam(brand new of course). he didn't run it any harder than he did with OEM cam. he he snapped a cam.

Oh BOY? My son just rebuilt his 94 GSR and is being sponsored by SKunk2. He put in the inverted intake manifold, new titanium retainers, racing intake and exhaust valves and racing valve springs along with the stage 2 camshafts and adjustable cam gears. I got it honed and bore to .10000 over and used JDM 11:1 pistons. He also had to get a new crank, Eagle Specialies out of Mississippi that is forged from4340 steel and harden nickle and a new 8lb clutch frim Friensanda. Although it is running pretty good, so far. Soory about your friends cam. But he should be able to return it?

Nova White, I'll be calling you on thursday. We are going down to Autothority to pick up my friends car. We probably won't be there that long. We will be leaving around 6 or 7 am and it's a 3 1/2 to 4 hour trip down. This time I'm going to get directions back to our house from map quest. We got lost trying to read directions backwards. We ended up in D.C. Friday night about 7pm. What a mess.
