Sitting a little lower today
Sitting a little lower today
A got everything together today.
I have to tighten up the axles and maybe bleed the brakes and of course a Alignment.
Did a circle with the car ,left and right with the wheels locked out.
Pulled the front fenders out and took care of the rubbing there.
I decided to stay with the polished lip on the wheels because I wanted to get the car back together.

Thanks,
It is the lowest setting.
I haven't taken it out for any real driving yet.
the drop is said to be a 2.5" drop but,to me the front seams like it's a little lower than that.
the front bumper cover is less than 2 inches off the ground.

yea looks like more than 2.5 to me. Are you really planning on leaving it that low for daily driving? Are you running camber kits? I just got my coils in last Friday and need to install them. Debating if i should buy a rear camber kit.
Not sure yet,I need to get some test driving in then adjust accordenly.
It's going to be as low as possible with out being a nusense.
And destroying the front bumper.
I plan on replacing the front bumper with a new oem after I find out if hight is going to be a issue.
Just need to dump my eibach's and kyb reds to fund it.

I'm loving the drop too.
Tomorrow I will get it out on the road, and get it lined up.
I will take the bumper cover off so they can get it on the lift.
I was just out side
looking at my car and was looking at it like dam, that's my ride.

Nice drop, and wheels look better than the old one you had on..but i bet it would look really sick if you took off the second spoiler, get rid of the acura in he front windshield/bumper and paint the gold grille/exhaust tips. Just my
looks more like a 4 - 5" drop. I had my car that low for about a week, it was actually a little lower than that. Its not easy to turn any more. plus the ride becomes shitty as hell.
Like everybody said, lose the gold stickers/emblems and the spoiler and it'll look great!

One step forward,two steps back.
So I was retighten the axle nuts and left my wheel centers on the intake.
While tighten the car was rock'n and the hood slamed.
Result ended in center caps denting the hood from the inside so bad it cracked the paint in a couple spots.
I'll tell you,It's never full forward momentum with this car.
Waiting for a friend to get home and ask about prices to fix the hood and some other things while I'll have his attension unless I can find a cf hood for the low.
I will put up a pic in a few.

After getting the axles tighten down did some idling aroung the grass in my back yard.
The ride itself on the coilovers seams fine but, the upper balljoint ard hitting the shock tower very easily.
I pulled a sticker and now I can how close it really is ans was before. now it looks like it's 1/4"-1/2" away from hitting right away.
Also I never noticed the dents before where the balljoints were hitting before with the spc's ball joints.
This was a noise I was trying to get rid of,now I know what and where it's comming from.
I think I'm going to try a hole cutting saw to see if I can make the noise go away.
Anyone else cut a hole threw the shock tower to allow stroke of the upper ball joint ?

I posted a link to a thread on someone mentioning cutting hole in shock tower on your other thread. I have been running the front spc for over 5 years now with koni yellows and neuspeed springs. Wonder if I will have issues with the spc hitting when I install my coils and go .5 to 1 inch lower.

just got alignment for the car. The guy hooked the camber in the rear to help clear the tire.
It looks kinda cool. He said check out the rubbing and check for tire wear.
And after I get the fenders rolled a little more he will bring to where it needs to be.
As long as it don't start smoking the rear tires off , I like the look.

Of course there's botoming out.
The front sub frame hits now and then.
I have not attempted any speed bumps, and wont if I can avoid them.
at first the sub frame was 2 fingers off the ground, now it's about 3.
far as ride quality, It's a little bouncy leaving a stop but, once you get moving it's fine.
leaving hard,then it's fine too.
Connering has been improved over my last set up.
I think it's only because it's lower.
This morning I drove on this road that bends to the right pretty hard then bends to the left and opens to a str8.
I approched the first conner at 55 and turn out of the 2nd bend doing 70-75 now mind you this road is marked 35.
The car seemed to have no body roll going threw this section.
With my old setup the rear would have rolled crazy where I would've got off the gas.
This set up I think I could've gave it more.
verdict: I little more bumpy of a ride.
Handling is far beter.
My only gripe would be wishing This had a step up in front had higher spring rates.
So I would feel a little more comfortable going lower.
