Short run with a 2005 Mustang GT

My wife and I were out getting a bite to eat this morning and we pulled up to a light next to a black 2005 GT. It was pretty new as it didn't have plates yet. I looked over and saw two girls in it so I wasn't really expecting a run. I pull out of the light slightly aggressivly and she pulling right with me. We take off from around 20mph pretty even and ran up to around 80mph. When we shut down, I had probably pulled maybe 1 - 1.5 car lengths. They waved and smiled and we did the same. Nice little jaunt to start off a Sunday

I'm guessing it was an auto.

I think this is the first kill you've ever posted. You've always complained that you never get to run anyone. Nice job!

1-1.5 cars is too close...need that HBP!

Let's put it this way: The car probably gets attention than the girls.

Thanks Ram. I was pleased with the outcome. Those 4.6L motors have some pretty good torque. If I remember correctly, the GT is a mid 13 second car but I could be wrong.

Correct the new GT should run mid-13s. You would have walked it by 2-3 cars with the HBP
