Shifting

What is the fastest way of shifting (rpm, mph per gear) off the line, for strait racing. Can you please tell what you've found the fastest in detail. Thanks

Put it in D4, floor it and your good for 110MPH, you get Headers, Exhaust and CAI, you still need Denso Irdium plus and AEM pulley and you are all set!

nice ride and welcome to the board.

D1->D2->D3 (Shift at 7000+ rpm) -- you have the headers, and the light wheels. It is just a pain in the rear (in my opinion) to move the D1 sideways to D2. You may even want to try out 6900, 'cause by the time you shift and the tranny catches up, your going to be hitting the shift limiter.

Try the D1 -> D2 -> D3 and try adjusting your shift speed from 6850 to close to redline (as above)...

I think all the cars are a bit different...

(just my experience on mine...)

So is the sport shift a sham for the track? Also what type of preformance can I expect to get from the pulleys, The shop that installed my stuff said that they wouldn't recommend pulleys, Also can you tell me a little about the plugs, hadn't heard of those yet. Thanks.

According to Acura -- the SS will give you 10% faster shifts than the D5/4/3 ..

Go figure.
