Security System Problems?

I was over at a friend's house tonight. We heard a car alarm. It sounded like a CL so I went to look. Before I got outside (90 sec) it had stopped. About 10 min later we heard it again. This time, I go out and it's my CL-S going off. Nobody around it. I key fob it off and check all around it, not a scratch or sign of break in atemp. WTF????!!! I will call dealer in AM. Any ideas?!?!?!

Make sure you were not sitting on your key fob and hit the panic button.

I had the same thing with my 1st gen CL. My car alarm went off all the time with out a reason. I just went to the trunk and cut the green/blue wire, which was the trunk sensor. It stoped.

I would have done the doors also if needed.

Not like that alarm can keep anyone out.

there might be some FC interference. If it happens at your house as well then idunno but someone may be on the same freq as your key fob. we have too much electronics and not enough radio waves you might have overlapped into the twilight zone.

Same thing happened to me... Only happened once and I had my keys in my hand and was ready to walk outside to it. I couldn't figure out what was going on. I didnt have the panic button pressed. That was 2 weeks ago and hasn't happened since? I actually forgot all about it till I saw this note..

Ouch cutting wires the dealer should have fixed that for you.As for the alarm going off on it's own.there is a new bullitin out regarding this problem that requires a minor mod to be made the transmitters contact the dealer and see if this may solve your problem.Jens

Get a glock 9 just in case the next time the alarm goes off it is not a false alarm.
