Security question: flashing LED
Having an alarm put in this weekend (Clifford IG7000), and I'm wondering if there is a way to slow down the flashing LED that comes with it to say 1/2 or maybe even 1/4 it's normal flashing rate. Is there anything you can put inline to do this? The salesman I talked to said the alarm brain controls the flashing and there's nothing you can do, but there must be something that can be done...

I have the Clifford IG8000 Alarm with add -ons in my 2000 TL.
The alarm has been in the car for over 2yrs now. The system was installed the day after I picked up the car from the dealership on 12/28/99.
The flash rate on the LED will change if the car is not driven for so many days. The flash rate will slow again even more if the car has not still be used. I have this info in my Clifford features guide. It says (Battery-Saving Mode) automatically reduces voltage consumption if car is left parked for two days or more. This is a standard feature on the models.

I say replace the LED or take it to a custom electronics/stereo shop to try and change it.

I guess the Battery -Saving Mode does what its suppose to do.
I think I will replace my battery in the summer anyway. I would not go into another winter with the OEM battery you never know when they will go.
